VANDA HYBRID (Vanda coerulescens x Rhynchostylis coelestis)
Vanda coerulescens is a small size epiphytic vanda seen in high altitude in India, China and south-east asia. It is 'Sky blue coloured. The spikes are typically longer than leaves. The flowers have fragrance. They grow best in baskets with no or little media.
Rhynchostylis coelestis has lightened the colour of the hybrid. They are white flowers with purple or pink lips. The beautiful puprle lip is adopted by this hybrid. They contribute to many Vandae hybrids. They prefer cool and bright conditions.
These beautiful hybrids are compact and much tolerant to temperature variations.
